This photo doubles as an image for the ‘365 a-photo-a-day’ project and to provide a tiny update on my Uni work. As I mentioned previously :
We are studying five different techniques which can be implemented to create a mono-print. For instance you can paint straight onto a big slab of glass and then press the paper over it to get your picture.
As I briefly describe above, a mono-print can be created by painting directly onto glass. And to help me make a cool image of a frog for my Uni project, I placed a photocopied drawing of a frog, underneath a pane of glass. Then I kind-of traced that/painted that underneath image, onto the surface of the glass, and pressed paper down to create a print.
This photo shows you the reference sketch underneath the glass, and the residue paint left on the glass surface after the print was made. The print turned out really well. However, my photos of the print are all blurry – bummer- but this is a much more interesting shot anyway.
